Network Redux wants to give big ups to ImageMagick and Growl for their achievement in making the top 40 list of best open source software! InfoWorld Bossies listed both ImageMagick and Growl in their article “Best of Open Source Software 2009″, which you can read here.
We have been and continue to sponsor the hosting for both of these sites and have been happy to expand their donated resources as they have grown in popularity. We advocate use of open source technologies and use them every day here at Network Redux. If you haven’t checked out ImageMagick or Growl we highly recommend you do so.
ImageMagick software allows for the conversion and manipulation files. In their own words, “Use ImageMagick to translate, flip, mirror, rotate, scale, shear and transform images, adjust image colors, apply various special effects, or draw text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bézier curves.” You can learn more at their site:http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php
Growl is a notification system that allows you to keep working in the application you have up, while alerting you to actions that are taking place elsewhere. You can download it here. http://growl.info/
Again, congrats to the acknowledgment of your useful open source software!
